At this point, we’re less than 24 hours away from a show that will go a long way toward saving Rumors, one of southern Maine’s coolest indie music venues, that unexpectedly got the axe last month when the landlord decided he had other plans for the building.

The show’s at the Townhouse Pub in Saco. Doors open at 3pm, and it’s 21+. Advance tickets are $15, with day-of-show admission set at $20. You can get tickets here.
The lineup is stacked with local heavy hitters, including A Home Beneath, Bite the Bullet, Endure, Ayychem, Last Embrace, Snake Lips, Nobdy, Headfirst, Sorry Safari, It’s Milty, Xomboy, Milk Street (acoustic set), Caazi, Savor, Plague Dad, Provenance, and Piss In Public.
If you’ve ever discovered a new favorite band there, played one of its packed shows, or simply believe southern Maine needs more independent music spaces instead of fewer, this is your chance to do a solid for the scene, just by showing up. Tickets are moving, and this one has all the makings of a sellout.

And if you can’t make the show, there’s a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of relocating Rumors.
So that’s two, count ’em, two ways to make a difference.
See you there!
