Portland’s own Angelikah Fahray is on the verge of something big.
Maybe you’ve caught her live at the Space Gallery, or the State Theater, where she’s showcased her powerful vocals in a mesmerizing blend of R&B, pop, and folk. Or maybe you’ve run across her stunning sound on one of the streaming platforms.

In relatively short order, Fahray’s emerged as someone whose talent carries the promise of bigger and better things. A captivating performer, she’s already landed headlining slots at the All Roads Music Festival, Creative Portland’s Hear Here Festival, ARME Boot Camps 1 & 2, and Flourish Fest in New Brunswick, Canada, and absolutely killed each and every time.
Her new single, which we are told is the precursor to a full-length album to come at a later date, speaks loudly to that promise. If I Would Die is a tune that pulls you in slowly, tightening its grip until you’re fully in thrall to her seductive vocals and the absolutely stunning production.

Bottom line: Fahray’s new track is something extraordinary. Equal parts soul ballad and lo-fi trip-hop, it’s a fantastic tune from end to end. And make no mistake, a big part of the appeal is the production, the result of a collaborative effort from Portland’s own Will Bradford (SeepeopleS, theWorst) and his partner in crime, Will Holland, whose roster of credits includes work with The Pixies and Dead Can Dance. Together, they’ve crafted a lush soundscape that offers astounding depth and detail to showcase Fahray’s talents without overwhelming the listener.
